The UK Trading agreements with Precision Plus Germany have changed.
As you are no doubt aware, a consequence of Brexit agreement between the UK and the EU, there are changes on how shipments are completed for goods that originate from the EU. This has some implications with the business you currently have with Precision Plus.
All our goods are dispatched from a central European facility located in Belgium. Consequently, due to the new regulations in place, the goods have to be imported in UK. As Precision Plus has currently no presence in UK, it is now the responsibility of each UK business to import the goods (become the “importer of record”) and arrange the custom clearance of shipments into the UK (and to pay any necessary import taxes and duties required). Further information on this process can be reviewed on the HMRC government webpage: How to import and export goods between Great Britain and the EU from 1 January 2021 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
It would be appreciated if you could advise us if you have the necessary processes in place to adhere to the above requirements and if so to provide us the name and contact info of the person within your organization who our courier, DHL, can contact to complete the necessary documentation. I am sure you understand that this may lead to a slight increase in the delivery lead-time for goods to arrive on site in the UK which we will endeavor to minimize as much as possible.
Should you have any questions about your on-going trading relationship with Precision Plus, please do not hesitate to contact us.
